Om/Mother is the result of photographic work carried out together by women and girls from 8 families in Tel Rumeida, Hebron with Barbara Debeuckelaere. The Palestinian women and the Ghent-based photographer photographed the family homes and domestic environments with analog cameras. The result is a series of images about love and life under occupation.

‘Om is a book and an exhibition, but also moments of encounter. Palestinian voices and images are essential to see and hear, especially now, in the midst of the horror in Gaza.

The meeting is organized on the occasion of the project’s exhibition at Galerie Satellite, on view until Sunday July 7.

The ‘Om project is the subject of a publication (edited by Eriksay Connection, with texts by Adam Broomberg and Barbara Debeuckelaere) and prints, which will be on sale on the occasion of the meeting and in the BIP-MUTANTX bookshop afterwards.
