The Tinder_gun_boys_@Brussels installation consists of tatami mats which covers are personalized with hundreds of screenshots of heterosexual men posing with guns on the Tinder dating app. For this creation, Loïs Soleil also developed an artificial intelligence that detects weapons and a robot swiping on Tinder, so as to be able to feed its collection as much as possible.

Today, we present an activation of the installation during a feminist self-defense class using tatamis as a support for collective work.

� In a chosen mix of women, cis and trans, and trans people of all genders. Encourage each other to RIPOSTE when harassed or assaulted, whether physically, verbally, psychologically or sexually, by loved ones or strangers. Practice PHYSICAL AND VERBAL TECHNIQUES through discussion, role-playing and simulation. Learn how to PROTECT YOURSELF in a warm, cooperative atmosphere with other concerned people ASSERTING YOURSELF on a daily basis, acting on fear, feel freer and more confident. Focus on what you CAN do, not on what you can’t.

Participation for the whole day is expected. No prerequisite physical condition or practice.
