Bétula – 2021
Betula presents itself as a universe parallel to our own. An infinite loop, a playground where man develops his own particular rituals. Betula, the scientific name for the birch tree, tells us about the pioneering plants that grow on land impoverished by mining. The slag heap gradually becomes the landscape of a possible new history, a place of ambiguity between documentary image and fantasized reality.
Chloé Clément’s artistic project is presented in collaboration with Le Botanique, Bruxelles
