In May 2021, my father dies. Sad summer for all, climate deregulation explodes everywhere. Apocalyptic-looking plagues punctuate the mourning process, at the same time or at best a few days apart.
Born of an attempt to make sense of worlds that are disintegrating, Des Fins, Des Mondes works to damage the grand narrative of the fall and rejects the myth of an end of the world that would not have begun, instantaneous and lightning-fast. Each iteration invites voices that live with grief, love and turmoil, intersecting with stories of cosmos that end and continue.
Since 2021, the investigation has taken the form of exhibitions, cabaret, guided tours and other performances. Part science museum, part magic show, this installation brings together the various objects and stories involved.
