Adrien Mans & Benjamin Ooms – Architectes
BE
Adrien Mans and Benjamin Ooms work on projects linked to the rewriting of existing buildings, circularity, the creation of common places and goods (favoring citizen appropriation) and the resilience of biotopes. Their interventions take the form of furniture, scenography, architecture, public spaces, participatory workshops or images suggesting new ways of living. Having previously lived in New York, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Latin America, they decided to return to Liège to set up their multidisciplinary studio.
The MutationsxUrbaines project takes place in the BIP, questioning the future of the modernist Chiroux-Croisiers complex, due to go up for sale in early 2024. Through three installations, artifacts, archival images and collage workshops, MutationsxUrbaines tackles themes linked to the reuse of materials, grey energy, citizen participation and the rewriting of our urban landscapes.
