The exhibition “Lumières après l’incendie” unveils Bernard Van den Bossche’s protean graphic work, created in the intimacy of his living space – a place of absolute retreat where the illness of being in the world and his ceaselessly reinvented creation are intertwined. Unsuspected in its quantitative, repetitive and obsessive dimension, this work takes the form of thousands of graphics, drawings, writings and cut-outs, organized on paper and often housed in boxes, folders and pouches of all kinds. All in an infinite perspective of inner struggle against disappearance and unheard-of resistance to “losing one’s mind”.
