“Intangibles”

This exhibition looks at invisible materials. Too unstable to be instrumentalised by our current techniques, these materials act as interfaces between humans and the world around us, showing us other ways of making, feeling and perceiving. To delve into these intangibles, researchers and practitioners have assembled devices, instruments, bodies and DIY experiments. They manipulate different types of energy material such as dreams, the psyche, ectoplasms, the aura, magic, magnetism…The Æthers (Claire Williams, Debora Levyh) collect and reactivate techniques of the invisible found in the archives of experimental and occult sciences. In “Les Télépathes”, glass sculptures resonate with the frequencies of the neuronal activity of dreamers, and in “13.77 billion years ago” we find dust particles engraved with nanoscopic signs.
